Here are some books that would make great gifts for kids who want to be doctors!
Age 3+ years (Preschool)
Going to the Doctor
This delightful book shows very young children what happens on a visit to the doctor.
Jenny and Jack are treated for a sore throat and a bruised arm, and Joey has an inoculation.
The charming illustrations are full of amusing details for adults and children to talk about, and slightly older children can read the simple text alone.
There is also a little yellow duck to find on each double page.
This is an Accelerated Reader title. Accelerated Reader (AR) is the world's most popular reading management software. Used in nearly 60,000 schools, Accelerated Reader provides teachers with an easy and effective way to monitor all forms of guided reading practice.

This book is so great. It is so informative. My son loves to look and see what happens when you eat food (let's be real - he loves to see the poop)! It has over 100 flaps (including flaps in flaps)!
It shows how your muscles work and how your brain processes what you see. I highly recommend this book.

All About Scabs
For all those curious children (and their parents) in the Crash! Scrape! Bam! stage of exploration – All About Scabs is exactly what the title says, and this non-fiction classic may even help with the healing process!
Cute & informative
Young kids can benefit from this even though it uses (and explains) a few vocabulary terms not used until later--such as "fibrin" and "capillaries." It's cute, though.

Scientific and charming
This book is actually very scientific and I find the graphics charming. Not an easy task considering the subject matter.

The Tampa Tribune-Times
Some suggest that the perfect gift for 5-year-olds is a box of bandages, because they are preoccupied with bodies and their protection. This, then, is the best book to accompany that gift.
As with other books in this series of Japanese imports, the topic has plenty of kid appeal, and the very grossness of the presentation just adds to the allure.
Flip Flap Body Book
Now you can discover the inside view of the amazing human body...with the help of fantastic fold-out flaps.
Find out what happens to the food that you swallow.
See how a baby grows in its mother.
Take a look at how you see, hear, smell, taste and touch.
This volume contains three Flip-Flap titles: What happens to your food?, How do your senses work?, and How are babies made?
I love this book and my kids have gotten so much from it. It's a very straight-forward, accessible, yet detailed introduction to the digestive system (even showing where poop goes), how babies grow in their mom's tummies (enough info to be helpful to preschoolers, but not overwhelming like the "It's Not the Stork" book), and the senses. The flap part of it isn't as enticing as lift-the-flaps, but it's a durable book. I wouldn't have considered buying this if a friend's kids hadn't shared it with my son first.

My daughter LOVED this book and read it over and over again. She enjoyed telling me how digestion worked when she first learned it from this book. She found the pictures of "what's inside our bodies" fascinating. There is so much information in this book that's packed into just a small hardback.

One of our favorites
This is a great book. I confess, I have even used it to console/distract my kiddo when he skinned his knee: "Look, your body has platelets that are going to form a scab!" Just a super reference to have around.

Best Intro to the Human Body
I gave this book to my son for his 4th birthday. He loves this book.
And he's so proud of the fact he knows (at least is begining to understand) how his body works. At dinner he'll proudly state his food travels down his food pipe, into his stomach, then into his small intestine, then into his large intestine, then will come out as poop.
Yes, that makes him very proud to know what's going on. And he's such a curious little boy he enjoys learning about his brain, blood, heart, bones, muscles, etc that are explained in the book.
It's become his recent favorite bedtime story. He loves lifting all the flaps and discovering little facts underneath them. Great book, yet again!
