Look Inside Your Body
Bought this book for my kids…one 5 and the other 3. They both were immediately enthralled with the book! Wanted to read it over and over again whenever they could.

The book make easy for they to knowing what is inside the body. Very powerful learning tool developing a sophisticated vocabulary in a short time frame. Highly recommend that all preschools/lower.

This book is so great. It is so informative. My son loves to look and see what happens when you eat food (let’s be real – he loves to see the poop)! It has over 100 flaps (including flaps in flaps)!

It shows how your muscles work and how your brain processes what you see. I highly recommend this book.

Both my 3 and 5 year old daughters love this book! They enjoy having it read to them and are also engaged when looking at it independently.

All About Scabs

Adventurous kids interested in learning more about their battle scars will love this informative book for all ages. Its fun and casual tone will help make scabs less scary and put even an anxious reader at ease.

Reader Reviews

Cute & informative
Young kids can benefit from this even though it uses (and explains) a few vocabulary terms not used until later–such as “fibrin” and “capillaries.” It’s cute, though.
Date: 4/14/2014 11:06 PM

Scientific and charming
This book is actually very scientific and I find the graphics charming. Not an easy task considering the subject matter.

Critics’ Reviews

The Tampa Tribune-Times
Some suggest that the perfect gift for 5-year-olds is a box of bandages, because they are preoccupied with bodies and their protection. This, then, is the best book to accompany that gift.

As with other books in this series of Japanese imports, the topic has plenty of kid appeal, and the very grossness of the presentation just adds to the allure.

Discover the journey your food goes on!

Find out how a baby develops!

Learn all about your senses!

This volume is a collection of three Lift-the-Flap Classics: How are babies made?, What happens to your food?, and How do your senses work?

Reader Reviews

Wonderful value
I love this book and my kids have gotten so much from it. It’s a very straight-forward, accessible, yet detailed introduction to the digestive system (even showing where poop goes), how babies grow in their mom’s tummies (enough info to be helpful to preschoolers, but not overwhelming like the “It’s Not the Stork” book), and the senses. The flap part of it isn’t as enticing as lift-the-flaps, but it’s a durable book. I wouldn’t have considered buying this if a friend’s kids hadn’t shared it with my son first.

Your Body
My daughter LOVED this book and read it over and over again. She enjoyed telling me how digestion worked when she first learned it from this book. She found the pictures of “what’s inside our bodies” fascinating. There is so much information in this book that’s packed into just a small hardback.

Love this Book!

I bought this book several years ago in Philadelphia when “Body Works” was touring the USA. As a nurse, I can assure you that it is factual. As a mom, and grandmother, it captures the attention of children. My children LOVE this book!!! Highly recommend it!!

One of our favorites
This is a great book. I confess, I have even used it to console/distract my kiddo when he skinned his knee: “Look, your body has platelets that are going to form a scab!” Just a super reference to have around.

Best Intro to the Human Body
I gave this book to my son for his 4th birthday. He loves this book.

And he’s so proud of the fact he knows (at least is begining to understand) how his body works. At dinner he’ll proudly state his food travels down his food pipe, into his stomach, then into his small intestine, then into his large intestine, then will come out as poop.

Yes, that makes him very proud to know what’s going on. And he’s such a curious little boy he enjoys learning about his brain, blood, heart, bones, muscles, etc that are explained in the book.

It’s become his recent favorite bedtime story. He loves lifting all the flaps and discovering little facts underneath them. Great book, yet again!
