So, Who am I to make up Diets?
I'm just someone who's tried so many, and thought, "why not experiment and make it fun..."
Most of my sci-fi diets have worked about as well as officially published diets. Some have really surprised me. One was a disaster. One improved my health so much in other ways that I shouldn't have overlooked it just because I gained a couple of pounds. On most, I lost a small amount. Mostly, I gained it back. As always. But I'm convinced there is a way to make progress.
I've lost 70lbs before, and I know the difference is worth it.
The important bit: I'm not a doctor, a nutritionist or a dietician, (so don't take anything on this website as a substitute for informed professional advice).
But neither am I one of those people that go on about being fat when they just want to lose ten pounds and look like they did as a teenager (as if!).
I'm a geek culture fan, and I've been more and less overweight for the last 20 years.

I've tried a lot of diets, and I've found the one that works: it's ANY of them, IF you can stand them for long enough.
So that's my plan: to try them all, for a week at a time, which is about as long as I can stick to most of them anyway.
And I'll keep up my motivation by switching them around and distracting myself with inspiring characters and challenges.
I've got a long way to go, with around 70lbs to lose. But on the bright side, I've done it before (with the help of a colicky baby that time), so I know how much better everything feels when you're carrying 70lbs less around with you.
Also I'm tall 🙂
